4 Golden Rules for Growing Rose Gardens

Golden rules are the ones that actually apply. You should bear them in mind and not forget them. Like stars to steer by, they can be permanent markers to guide us and keep us moving in the appropriate direction.

Golden Rules exist to guide you, to be followed, to be used. It makes little difference what your primary goal is or what challenge you face. Just choose the applicable Golden Rule and follow it...

5 of the most beneficial Golden Rules for Growing Rose Gardens.

Golden Rule # 1, Make sure you plant roses that will grow in your climate. The key reason why you want to do this is because of the hybrids of roses. Most have been crossbred to grow in areas where they don't normally grow. Some are bred for heat, lack of rain, cold, and various other reasons. Remember, roses grow in the wild all over the world but certain types of roses will only grow in their own climate.

Golden Rule # 2, keep them maintained. This can be very important because when they become leggy they don't produce the blooms. They expend too much energy growing the stems they don't have enough left to produce blooms. You will want to remember that the more you cut them back the more blooms you will get.

Golden Rule # 3, buy roses for their size. This really is advisable because some roses are climbers and some are bushy. If you plant a climber in the middle of your garden it won't have anything to grow up so it just gets leggy and won't produce any blooms.

Golden Rule # 4, watch the color you pick. They can and will crossbreed themselves and the offspring’s will be a combination of the two roses. If you want an all red rose garden choose them by the color you want.

Carefully follow these golden rules for growing rose gardens. They will keep you in blooms for years to come and you will probably find your progress to be quite rapid and your successes greater, more frequent, and even more satisfying.
